研究人员发明一种可通过对人类全基因组的扫描而成功定位一些关键基因调控因子的方法;已知这些调控基因的突变形式会引发2型糖尿病。该项研究标志着首次应用全基因组扫描方法对人体器官(如胰腺和肝脏)进行分析,同时亦为类似的其他器官系统和疾病的研究开辟了道路。 Researchers have invented a method that successfully locates a few key gene regulatory elements by scanning human genomes; it is known that mutations in these regulatory genes trigger type 2 diabetes. The study marks the first application of genome-wide scanning for the analysis of human organs, such as the pancreas and liver, and opens the way for similar studies of other organ systems and diseases.
