蒙古汗国和元王朝的对儒政策基本上是:在蒙古汗国创业之初,成吉思汗和窝阔台不自觉地利用儒士;忽必烈有过“好贤”的举措,但十分有限,并变成了确保民族特权、挑拨民族矛盾的手段与方法;元代中后期统治者“崇儒”、“尊儒”企图拉回儒士阶层,是想挽救其危机四伏的垂死命运。
