今年全国经济工作的总体要求是:以邓小平理论和党的十五大精神为指导,进一步贯彻落实“七一”重要讲话和党的十五届五中、六中全会的精神,按照“三个代表”要求,正确把握复杂多变的国际政治经济形势,沉着应对,趋利避害,抵御和克服前进道路上的各种风险和困难,以保持经济和社会的稳定。坚持实施扩大国内需求的方针,继续深化改革,扩大开放,加快结构调整,整顿和规范市场经济秩序,提高经济增长质量和效益,促进国民经济持续快速健康发展和社会全面进步。切实加强党的作风建设,转变政府职能,坚定信心,扎实工作,团结奋斗,勤俭建国,以改革开放和现代化建设的新成就迎接党的十六大召开。
The overall requirements of the national economic work this year are guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory and the spirit of the 15th Party Congress and further implement the important speech on “July 1” and the spirit of the 5th, 6th Plenary Session of the 15th CPC Central Committee, The “Three Represents” requires that we correctly grasp the complicated and volatile international political and economic situation, calmly deal with it, seek benefits and avoid disadvantages, and resist and overcome the various risks and difficulties in the road ahead so as to maintain economic and social stability. We will continue to implement the policy of expanding domestic demand, continue to deepen the reform, expand opening up, speed up structural adjustment, rectify and standardize the market economic order, improve the quality and efficiency of economic growth, and promote sustained, rapid, healthy and comprehensive development of the national economy. We must earnestly strengthen the building of the Party’s work style, transform the functions of the government, strengthen confidence, work in solidarity, work hard in unity and thrift and build the country, and welcome the convening of the Party’s 16th National Congress with new achievements in reform, opening up and modernization.
