中国文化博大精深,餐饮文化便是其中最具有代表性的一面。川菜作为中国八大菜系中极具特色的一种,更是享誉世界。在这个文化交流愈加频繁的时代,将川菜菜名翻译成准确优美的英文显得格外重要。本文根据川菜菜名的特点将其进行分类,并在目的论的指导下,分析、总结出了川菜菜名英译原则及策略。
Chinese culture is broad and profound, and catering culture is one of the most representative aspects. Sichuan cuisine as one of the eight characteristics of China’s cuisine, it is world-renowned. In this era of cultural exchange more frequently, the Sichuan cuisine translated into accurate and beautiful English is particularly important. Based on the characteristics of Sichuan vegetable names, this paper classifies them and, under the guidance of Skopos theory, analyzes and summarizes the principles and strategies of English translation of Sichuan vegetable names.
