In view of the increasingly stringent quality requirements for steel products in recent years, stringent quality inspections must be carried out on the billets of semi-finished products. Kobe Steel in Japan and Kakogawa steel mills set up a continuous billet automatic testing equipment. With the naked eye for magnetic particle inspection, even skilled technicians are not easy to identify true defects and surface unevenness and uneven distribution of magnetic particles generated false defects, often in the continuous testing of the wrong judgment.
