The historic Mashad is just an ordinary city on the Silk Road. About 1,200 years ago, as the eighth Imam of Shi’ite Muslims was buried there, it began to become a place of worship for Shi’ite believers and gradually developed into a center of Shi’a Muslims. It is already a blessing for tourists to travel to Mashad as compared to the holy city of Mecca, a Sunni holy city heavily pagan for heathenism.
