目前,日本业已开发出一种多路PCM伴音卫星广播传输方式,即利用12GHz频段卫星广播的一路带宽,对采用PCM信号的多路高音质伴音进行时分复接广播。实现复接后的信号,利用正交载波调制方式对载波直接进行数字调制。该传输方式同卫星电视广播的PCM伴音传输信号格式保持着共用性,并把其传输速率为2.048Mb/s的帧组成确定为基本的一路帧组成。利用纠错码及折线量化改善了传输误差控制效果,故可实现使这一帧进行12路或16路复接的多路传输。利用试制装置进行了卫星传输实验,根据传输特性的测量和音质评价结果,确认即使在低C/N时亦能以足够的伴音质量确保广播业务。
