爱尔兰著名绘画艺术家约翰-康格利先生的中国首次个展,由中国对外艺术展览中心(CIEA)主办,于11月15日至25日在中国美术馆展出。约翰-康格利先生展出的四十幅精彩绘画作品,具有丰富的肌理、鲜明的观念和爱尔兰独特的文化气质。其绘画以丙烯和油画为主,又分为帆布、木板、纸板等材料,主题为“格栅”系列,风格鲜明而严谨。艺术家自认为“通过线条、色彩、质地语言绞结的表面制造者”。如果用中国人的眼光来看康格利先生的作品,与其说他的绘画有史前古墓遗迹和糙石巨柱般的朴拙,倒不如说它有着中国商周时代青铜器的铸痕与铜锈的包浆之美。历来中国艺术中并没有西方式的“抽象艺术”观念,中国当代艺术的部分艺术家自认为“抽象艺术”的创作作品里,缺少了许多西方文化内的元素特征,如宗教精神、科学分析等。其中对西方文化和艺术理论误读的成分较大,多为盲目的追随及模仿。因此,这个展览能够令人们获得更多有益的借鉴。
The first solo exhibition in China by John Congally, a famous Irish painting artist, was sponsored by the China Foreign Art Exhibition Center (CIEA) and exhibited at the China Art Museum from November 15th to 25th. Therefore, this exhibition can make people learn more useful lessons.
