何郢遗址位于安徽省滁州市区东北约6公里,现存面积近5000平方米,平面近圆形,中部略高,周边较平坦,属于本地区较常见的台地型聚落遗址。2002年秋,该遗址由安徽省文物考古研究所主持进行了发掘。根据出土陶器的排比分析和测年结果,可将该遗址分为商末周初、西周中期和西周晚期三个时期。何郢遗址出土的器物多为陶、石器,在当时可能属于一般的村落。根据出土遗物的器类构成及其特征
Located in the northeast of Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, about 6 km northeast of Hezhou City, the existing site covers an area of nearly 5000 square meters. The site is nearly circular with a slightly higher central part and a relatively flat surrounding area. It belongs to the most common terraced settlement sites in this area. In the autumn of 2002, the site was excavated by Anhui Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology.
