本文从生态系统的观点出发,在气候-土壤-植物体系的基础上,运用水文统计分析方法研究南京地区马尾松林的土壤水分变化,确定了一些土壤水分常数,划定了四个土壤水文阶段,揭示了4—6月份为林木生长旺盛、土壤水分供应充足但稍不稳定时期,这一阶段的水分供应对林木生长起决定作用,并指出,若在土壤水分比较稳定的20厘米土层深度以下采取措施促进林木根系往深层发展,就能更有效地利用土壤水分。文中还运用相关分析来研究马尾松林木的树高和早、晚材生长同水热系数及土壤水分供应的关系,以相关计算和相关系数显著性检验表明,尚可利用水热系数(特别是和土壤水分供应状况结合起来)估算和预报林木生长量。
