The report shows that last year China became the big winner in the global handset market. Lenovo Group, which failed to successfully integrate Motorola, became a big loser. Huawei replaced Lenovo as the world’s third-largest smartphone, behind Samsung Electronics and Apple. The report shows that in the top ten smart phone companies in the world last year, China occupied seven locations. In addition to Samsung Apple, the only other top 10 non-Chinese companies are South Korea’s LG Electronics. Samsung and Apple are still the global smart phone market
