Some experts believe that the history of Beijing Opera has only been brought to Beijing from the emblem class for more than two hundred years, and the history of calligraphy has been nearly four thousand years since Oracle began. Therefore, the significance of calligraphy is far more significant for the Chinese culture than for Peking Opera. The meaning of the two is bigger or smaller, this article is not justified by comment. However, regarding the history of both, if we broaden the scope of Peking Opera to drama, can we regard the history of calligraphy longer than that of drama? According to the definition of Wang Guowei, the opera singer interprets stories by singing and dancing as early as the writing, let alone the invention of calligraphy , Primitive people “opera ” already exists. Of course, I do not intend to use this as a basis to deduce that drama is more meaningful than calligraphy.
