桂林作为风景城市于一九七八年正式对外开放,已接待国内外游人将近五百万人之多。在这样的情况下,桂林如何当之无愧地面对世界游人,成为大家十分关心的事。开放政策带来了多种渠道的投资,也带来了许多问题。本文想就桂林风景资源的保护和开发,以及桂林山水美和风景建设的关系,谈谈自己粗浅的看法。桂林风景的属性桂林风景属于纯自然风景,虽然市内许多山上留下不少古人题刻,但和桂林特有的岩溶地面相比是从属的。从某种意义上可以说,桂林现有的名山都是古人开发出来的,只是因为他们受当时经济和交通的限制,不能远涉各处,故现在桂林的名山大多集中在漓江两岸。象鼻山、伏波山、叠彩山、独秀峰、七星岩……一贯被认为是桂林风景的台桂,历代文人墨客都吟诗作画歌颂它们。现在桂林的游览路线可溉括为二洞(七星岩、芦笛岩)三山(伏波山、叠彩山、象鼻山)一条江(漓江),其实,对桂林的全貌加以深入的调查,就不难发现,桂林附近还有许多地方的山比现在桂林市的山美多了。例如白沙的遇龙河,葡萄的五里店,阳朔的沙子、矮山……。一旦为人们所重视,那妩媚动人的纯自然风景将使人惊异——地球上竟有如此美丽的地方!
