Harold Pinter’s “Go Home” has received much attention from critics since its debut in 1965. The motives of the characters in the play are full of uncertainty and puzzling. This article explores the complexity of the characters in the play, pointing out that Max’s family lacks effective communication and communication, just a familiar stranger who lives together. In addition, according to some comments that the return of the play refers to the view that Ruth returns home, this article argues that the real theme of “going home” is to reflect the mentality of homelessness of modern people.
