At the invitation of the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), the maritime competition regulators of China, the United States and the European Union held the Global Maritime Regulatory Summit in Washington on December 17, 2013. The meeting exchanged views on the respective regulatory regimes of the three parties, discussed the potential impact of the shipping alliance and the ship sharing agreement, but did not conduct substantive discussions on the P3 Alliance. The tri-nation regulatory agencies in Central and Eastern Europe only made their respective declarations on the P3 coalition Introduced.
