2000年末,首届全国特种养殖产业化发展战略高层研讨会在北京隆重召开,国家农业部六位副部长、两位司长、十多位知名特养专家和一百多位来自全国各地的特养精英参加研讨,而主持这次盛会的却是个普通的年轻人。 2001年初,由国家农业部组织的2000年全国乡镇企业十大新闻人物评选揭晓,他是其中最年轻的一个。他首次从国外引入信用经济(即赊销经营),创办了全国首家特养良种赊销城,面向全国赊供良种,让养殖户先赚钱后付款,带出了4000多个特养万元户。
