举世瞩目的长江三峡水利枢纽工程是世界巨型水电工程 ,堪称“世界第一坝” ;大型水电站之一的长江葛洲坝水利枢纽工程是长江上的第一坝 ;两坝分别位于湖北省宜昌县和宜昌市 ,相距约 4 0ｋｍ。 葛洲坝水利枢纽工程和三峡工程先后于 1981年 1月 4日和 1997年 11月 8日成功进行
The Three Gorges Project, one of the largest hydropower stations in the Yangtze River, is the first dam on the Yangtze River. The two dams are located in Yichang County, Hubei Province and are the largest in the world. Yichang City, about 40km apart. The Gezhouba Dam Project and the Three Gorges Project were successfully completed on January 4, 1981 and November 8, 1997
