服装种类繁多,依用途可分为生活服、劳动服、舞台服、运动服等。劳动穿着的服装要求在劳动中对人体健康起保护作用,又叫劳动保护服及生产工作服,简称“劳保服”。多年来,有关部门对劳保服的作用、款式等不断研究改进,但是仍跟不上时代的要求。在此前提下,有些人或单位为了赶时髦、讲美观、对劳保服的选用忽视了应有的使用科学性。因此有的女挡车工穿起连衣裙,电焊工穿上的确良等。由于劳保服装的使用不科学,造成工伤危害屡见报道。
