Western missionaries were the earliest groups in the history of Chinese and Western traffic that had the conditions to conduct a comparatively systematic and systematic study of Chinese and Western cultures. In order to meet the needs of missionary work, they conducted an in-depth exploration of Chinese traditional culture. The missionaries who came to China in the early 19th century studied the Chinese cultural classics, focusing on the translation of Chinese classics into various Western languages. German missionary Paul Paul is inventive and simple, on the Confucian classics “four” translated and annotated vernacular, that is, “four books of Mandarin.” Its purpose is to make it easier for Chinese children and Chinese people to understand and accept his thinking on comparative analysis of Christian culture and Confucianism and to better implement the preaching strategy of Confucius and Jesus Christ.
