“Internet” refers to a large network of information systems formed by the millions of computer users in the United States and other countries that connect through telephone lines. It originated in a system of the U.S. Department of Defense. In 1969, the U.S. Department of Defense established a computer network called Arpanct for its subordinate Senior Research Projects Agency to link departments that bear arms development with the Department of Defense. In 1985, the United States Department of Defense switched to other methods for information exchange and handed the Arpanct network to the National Science Foundation for Management. The Foundation canceled most of the original network of military security restrictions, open to the University, the Internet was born
