岩组分析主要是研究岩石和矿石中矿物原生的及后生的排列方向性。查明晶体生长和沉积作用等的矿物原生排列规律性,有助于深入了解它们的形成条件;而对于后生者,则其应用范围及意义就更为广泛。众所周知,当构造应力达到一定程度时,岩石和矿石中的矿物会发生沿一定方向排列起来的分异运动,这种岩石或矿石称之为构造岩,它可分为S、B、R等几种基本类型。研究构造岩中矿物排列方向性,可以帮助我们确定各种构造形迹的性质及其成生时的应力状态,从而更准确地阐明地质构造的成因。
Rock group analysis is mainly to study the mineralogy of the rocks and minerals in the primary and the rearrangement of the orientation.
