本词典32开,871页,约103万字,由地质出版社副编审吴树仁同志从大量的英文、俄文和中文文献中经过多年精心收集和编译而成,于1989年6月由地质出版社出版。这是我国出版的第一部岩石学词典,也是我国岩石学界的一件盛事。本词典有以下特点。 1.收词广泛。共收集火成岩、变质岩、沉积岩、混合岩和构造岩等岩石学领域内词目6000多条,其中包括岩石名称5000多条,岩石学一般名词近千条。对于历史上曾使用过后来被淘汰或不常用的,或者一经提出就遭反对未能被广泛引用的。或者只有地方意义没有广泛流传的,以及那些一词多义或多词同义的岩石名称和术语,编者都一一收录并作了说明。这对于读者在阅读外文书刊遇到这些名词时,查阅起来就方便得多了。 This dictionary is 32 pages open, 871 pages, about 1.03 million words.
