A new anti-friction alloy [A.C.1151581 (USSR)] has been developed. Its composition is 2.8-3.6% C, 2.4-4.4% Si, 0.9-1.4% S, 0.1-0.49% Mn and 0.1-0.3% P. The high silicon content of cast iron not only speeds up the graphitization process, but also improves the wear resistance of the metal through the underlying layer of ferrite. The high P content ensures that worn surfaces are phosphated during the rubbing process - iron phosphate and manganese phosphate on the friction surfaces of the cast irons during the oxidation of P, F_c and M_n. According to the standard method of the Institute of Standardization of Manufacturing Machinery in Suzhou, the pressure is 120 MPa and the semi-dry wear (using distilled water as lubricant) on the CMy-2 tester is simulated
