The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different types of dietary fiber on systolic and diastolic blood pressure. METHODS: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials using random effects models were included in the study criteria including randomized controlled trials of at least 6 weeks between January 1, 1990, and December 1, 2013 The effect of isolated dietary fiber or fiber rich meal on blood pressure was analyzed and compared with placebo control group. RESULTS: A total of 18 studies that met the inclusion criteria and reported a relationship between fiber intake and blood pressure were included in the meta-analysis. the study
