IR-UWB (Impulse Radio-Ultra Wide Bandwidth) is a very promising technology in short-range wireless communication. This paper introduces several new modulation techniques related to IR-UWB signals, such as pseudo-chaotic coding time-hopping modulation, pulse position amplitude modulation, adaptive modulation and so on, analyzes the basic principle of the modulation method and gives the error Bit rate analysis.
