在打桩过程中发生困难,没有把桩尖送到设计要求的深度,或者贯入度没有达到要求以前,发生桩身残损、碎裂、折断等现象,在这里称为打桩事故。此外,纯粹由于标高控制的错误,送桩不到位,一则减少了桩的支承能力;二则增加了截桩工作量,也算打桩事故。只是打桩事故的分析不涉及安全承载力问题,以区别前文的“桩基事故”。着重对桩身残损、碎裂、折断的原因进行分析,中心问题是探讨桩身在锤击过程中所受到的打击应力及其破坏过程。通过打击应力的分析,来检验桩的设计强度是否满足施工要求、桩身构造是否合理,然后再从地质条件和施工操作中去寻找原因,以明确事故责任。
