In modern Mandarin Chinese, the term “fat” is used to describe that often, a person’s body or part of the body’s fat is often non-positive. In English, too, the adjective “fat”, which has a large body and fat, has such non-positive and even discriminatory meanings. “Fat ” and “fat ” have certain commonalities in using tendencies, words collocating emotional expressions and the alternative use of euphemisms and reflecting the common tendencies in human language. However, there are some differences between China and the United Kingdom in using “fat” and “fat” respectively, which is inseparable from the aesthetic culture and pragmatic habits of both China and the West.
