应用电热温床育苗近几年发展很快。因为它有效地解决了早春育苗地温不足的矛盾,从而使育苗时间缩短,育苗成本降低。但是,由于植物生长受气温影响,气温对电热温床的用电量又有很大影响。所以气温与地温必须很好的配合,才能更有效地缩短育苗天数又比较省电。这是目前大量推广应用电热温床育苗必须十分注意的问题。我们在不同气、地温对果菜秧苗影响的试验中发现,出苗前地温起主导作用,这段时间,地温应设定在24~25℃比较好,苗出得快又齐。
