高热惊厥是小儿的常见病,在全部小儿人口中约占5~6%,也有报告高达10.3%者.对于高热惊厥的定义,各家意见不一。一般认为惊厥初次发作在1个月至5~6岁之间。排除了中枢神经系统感染和其他器质性或代谢性异常所致而体温在38℃以上时出现的惊厥,就可诊断为高热惊厥。多数病儿呈良性经过,没有后遗症,不影响生长发育。但是在临床实践中逐步认识到,高热惊厥并非都是良性的,一部分严重高热惊厥可能产生脑损伤而导致癫痫
Convulsions are common in children, accounting for about 5-6% of all pediatric populations and have been reported as high as 10.3%. There is mixed opinion about the definition of febrile seizures. Generally believed that the first seizure in 1 month to 5 to 6 years old. Exclusion of central nervous system infections and other organic or metabolic abnormalities caused by body temperature above 38 ℃ convulsions, can be diagnosed as febrile seizures. Most sick children were benign, no sequelae, does not affect the growth and development. However, in clinical practice, it has been gradually realized that not all of febrile seizures are benign. Some severe febrile seizures may cause brain damage and lead to epilepsy
