张大千(1899~1983),名爰,小名季爰,四川内江人。他是一个享乐与殉道两种价值取向并存,亦谑亦庄、亦俗亦雅、玩世而从艺虔诚的人。当同时代画家在注重借鉴西方绘画样式技法时,他却从极富生命力的民间传统艺术中获得创造的启示。其晚年的泼彩泼墨,彻底走向抽象化,完成对传统山水画的超越。 Zhang Daqian (1899 ~ 1983), a famous name, nickname Jianye, Sichuan Neijiang.
