百合属百合科多年生宿根草本植物。又名菜百合、白百合、药百合、蒜脑薯、中篷花等。地下有扁形或近圆形的鳞茎，鳞片肉质肥厚，以此供食。早春于鳞茎中抽出茎，夏季开花，花被六片，花色淡雅，有红黄、黄、白和淡红等色。欧美各国都将百合作花卉栽培，以供观赏。国内则多作蔬
