一、问题的提出唐山地震后,抗震工作普遍引人注意。但是谈起抗震,绝大多数人首先想到的就是房屋,就连搞工业的人,也很少想到工业设备。产生这种现象的原因主要有下列几点:1.工业设备都很大、很重,而且是钢铁“汉”,不可能震坏。2.设备设计采用的安全系数比房屋等构筑物的安全系数大得多,有足够的安全储备。3.房屋直接关系到个人生命和财产的安危,但工业设备似乎不是致命的东西。其实这些都是错觉。这一方面是由于一般人对设备抗震工作接触不多,另一方面是由于人们对抗震理论理解不深。本文针对这种情况,尽量以通俗的事例,对工业设备抗震的必要性作一个简要的论述。
