China FAW Harbin Gearbox Factory (formerly Harbin Automobile Gear Factory) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation and is known throughout the country for producing gearboxes, power take-offs and various rear axle gears. The factory was founded in 1955 and is the first Chinese manufacturer of imported gears. It is one of China’s member companies of the United Nations Development Program’s technical information facilitation system and a national large-scale second-tier enterprise. After the “7th Five-Year” and “Eighth Five-Year” technological transformation, the factory has rejuvenated tremendous vitality. Now it has formed 150,000 sets of transmission assemblies for IT, 2T, 3T and 8T series and 250,000 sets of micro-light medium and heavy duty rear axle gears. PTO
