《诗经》作为中国最早的诗歌总集,拥有众多的英文译本。作为其杰出的英译者之一,许渊冲的译本因其优美的音韵而闻名。以《诗经·国风·卫风·氓》为例,本文通过其原文与许渊冲译文的对比研究,从目的论的三个原则出发,分析了许渊冲在遵循目的原则、忠实原则和连贯原则时所采取的相应的翻译策略。通过以上分析,本文洞悉了许渊冲的“美学”翻译目的对于其英译过程的指导价值和影响。因此,在不同领域从事翻译的译者也应当具备明确的翻译目的且严格遵守目的论的三原则,采取适当的翻译策略,以达到最佳的翻译效果。
The Book of Songs, as the earliest collection of poems in China, has many English translations. As one of his distinguished English translators, Xu Yuanchong’s translation is famous for its beautiful phonology. Taking “The Book of Songs, Guofeng and Wei Feng,” as an example, through the comparison between the original text and the translation of Xu Yuanchong, this article analyzes three key principles of the theory of purpose: Xu Yuanchong ’s principle of following purpose, faithfulness and coherence Take the appropriate translation strategy. Through the above analysis, this article has an insight into the guiding value and influence of Xu Yuanchong’s “Aesthetic ” translation on his English translation process. Therefore, translators engaged in translating in different fields should also have a clear purpose of translation and strictly abide by the three principles of Skopostheorie. They should adopt appropriate translation strategies in order to achieve the best translation results.
