武汉市辖有9个城区,2个郊区,2个郊县。至今年4月5日止,9个城区已先后通过省级扫盲验收,达到了国务院《扫除文盲工作条例》规定的基本扫除文盲单位标准。武汉市扫盲工作,正在加强工作力度,精心操作,力争在1996年实现全市基本扫除青壮年文盲的目标。在实现达标后,我市扫盲工作仍不放松,继续实行扫盲目标管理责任制,每年完成扫盲剩余文盲1000人的任务;要进一步坚持“一堵、二扫、三提高”的方针,办好脱盲后的巩固提高班,每年培训6000人。武汉市郊县农村,有乡、镇(场)127个,都办有成人文化技术学校,96.7%的村(队)也都办有成校。共2075所。今后在继续抓好扫除文盲工作的同时(扫盲机构不撤,成教经费不减),将进一步加强乡、村成校建设,按照城郊型经济建设与社会发展需要,创造一批示范性窗口学校,把成人教育的发展和改革引向深入。(贺启宇)
