在自己的刊物上发表批评自己刊物的文章或意见,是好的,这点我们很清楚,也做了,虽然做得还很不够。但,在自己的刊物上发表赞扬自己刊物的文章或意见,合不合适,就有点拿不准,总觉得好话还是要别人讲才为好。《书屋》自一九九七年开始设立年度读书奖和读者参与奖,现已进行了两次,两次都得到了许多读者朋友的热情参与和支持。他们纷纷寄来推荐篇目和理由,其中不乏真知灼见。正是这些真知灼见促使我们在这里选登了其中的两封来信,尽管这两封来信的读者都因区区一票之差而未能获得一九九八年度读者参与奖,但是他们的认真精神和负责态度以及入情入理的推荐意见却令我们深为感佩。
It is good to publish an article or comment on your own publication that criticizes your own publication. We did this very clearly and did not do enough. However, it is inappropriate to publish an article or comment praising one’s own publication in one’s own magazine. Since 1997, Bookstore has set up the Annual Book Prize and Reader’s Participation Award. It has been conducted twice and twice, with the enthusiastic participation and support of many readers and friends. They have sent the recommended articles and reasons, many of them insightful advice. It is these insights that prompted us to select two of these letters here. Although readers of both letters failed to win the 1998 Readers’ Reward Award due to the difference between district and one vote, their earnestness and We are deeply appreciative of the attitude and understanding of what is right.
