Since 1949 after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, in the writing of the literary history in mainland China, the name “Eileen Chang” has always been absent during both the 17 years and the Cultural Revolution. Her voice has always been obscured in the main theme of politics. This writing style of literary history has changed since the new era. Zhang Ailing, once a marginal writer, completed his return to literary history. However, her return this time is still reserved. Compared with the “Zhang Feis ” that culminated in the death of Zhang Ailing since the 1980s, the stance held in the history of literature is still quite different from that criticized by Zhang Ailing in literary criticism since the new era It is worth our deep thinking.
