2005年10月10日上午,故宫博物院古书画研究中心成立大会暨“《清明上河图》及宋代风俗画国际学术研讨会”开幕式在故宫延禧宫举行。正如文化部副部长、故宫博物院院长郑欣淼在开幕致词中所说,成立研究中心是故宫博物院在科研方面深化改革、扩大开放的重要举措,也是中国博物馆发展史和学术史的盛事,故宫博物院建立国际性的研究中心有着得天独厚的藏品优势,研究中心是高层次的国际性学术机构,是国内外专家、学者开展合作性课题研究的学术平台,中心的建立说明了“故宫学”本身的文化内涵及在海内外所具有的凝聚力。
