本会1952年会员大会于十月十二日下午假康乐酒店举行,到会会员二百三十余人。二时半宣布开会,由徐作和理事长主席,致开幕词,略谓在毛主席与人民政府的英明领导下,本会的使命加重,会员们都应全心全意为人民服务,并应学习苏联的先进经验来迎接国家的大建设云云。次上海科联代表张辅忠同志讲话,称赞本会过去能团结化工界,为学术与工业的桥梁,而且办得有成绩,在大建设中将占重要地位,希望各自努力,为人民服务。再次由主席报告本会成立的历史和发展的经过,并将本会解放前后的情况对比,说明本会过去二十七年中并无重大成就,而会务能充份发展则为最近三年之事,这应当归功于陈聘丞会员的努力,特提出表扬。次为会务报告,分别由施庆龢、苏元复、吴志超三会员与沈鸿模先生报告财务、编审、司选及事务工作,均经出席会员鼓掌接受。再 The 1952 General Meeting of Membership will be held on the afternoon of October 12 at the Leisure Hotel, where more than 230 members will attend.
