INTRODUCTION There are many estuaries that tend to be completely mixed in cross-section and have negligible vertical and lateral component concentrations. In this estuary, mixing and movement of water can be handled in a dollar, whereas it is impossible to get more information with models of binary or ternary mixing systems. The predictive power of a water quality model depends on the importance of the estuary’s ability to disperse pollutants and reduce their concentration. It appears that the existing dispersion coefficient equations do not represent the tidal estuary, and the actual dispersion calculated using these equations is small.
