The repeatability of events is a common feature of co-occurrence objects in Chinese and Japanese. Repeatability requires that an event can not be an individual event positioned in space or time, but must be a category event that is not located in a specific space-time. The co-occurrence objects are repeatability category events, which determine the incompatibility between the Chinese and Japanese experience tags and the time words because the appearance of the time words easily makes the event an individual event that is located on a specific time axis. However, the differences between Chinese and Japanese idioms marked with the co-occurrence of acceptable time words are much less than that of Japanese. This difference is mainly due to the fact that the grammaticalization of “over” is much higher than that of “over” and the integration of “V over” and the individualization of events, thus reducing the Chinese experience Marked in the accepted time word co-occurrence of the restrictions.
