Real-time ultrasound imaging is a useful clinical diagnostic method. Much of the work now is to improve the quality of the image with more complicated circuits. However, whether 2D imaging systems are more widely accepted in clinical settings depends not only on the improvement of image quality, but also on the ease of use, size and portability. This article reports the technical description of the handheld real-time ultrasound imaging scanner. The instrument is based on the principle of line array, with small size, easy to carry and use the battery and so on.
