To the editor:Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is an infrequent but nevertheless, serious life threatening complication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.People infected with HIV have a high prevalence of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) and/or hepatitis C virus (HCV).Bosentan is effective in patients with HIV-related PAH (HRPH);1 but hardly used on Chinese patients so far.In this rare case,we present successful,long-term coadministration of bosentan and antiretroviral therapy in an HIV/HBV/HCV coinfected Chinese patient with HRPH.
