今年3月29日至4月25日,天津大学邀请美国佛罗里达大学机械工程系教授兼美国国立阿贡研究室顾问薛忠国来华讲学,专门讲授“太阳能利用原理及热辐射理论基础”。薛忠国教授长期从事传热学方面的教学和科研工作,在热辐射方面有很深的造诣。近年来又在太阳能方面进行了不少的研究工作,尤其对玻璃材料的光学特性和复合抛物面聚光式集热器(CPC)有较深的研究。1978年他与阿贡研究室合作进行CPC的理论研究工作取得了成果。最近,还在红外测试与探伤方面取得了突出成绩。从1976年至今曾先后发表过数十篇论文,在美国享有一定的声誉。
From March 29th to April 25th this year, Tianjin University invited Professor Xue Zhongguo, a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Florida and an advisor of the National Argonne Research Office in the United States, to give lectures in China, specifically teaching “the principles of solar energy utilization and the theoretical basis of heat radiation”. Professor Xue Zhongguo has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in heat transfer for a long time. He has profound achievements in heat radiation. In recent years, many researches have been conducted on solar energy. In particular, the optical properties of glass materials and compound parabolic collectors (CPC) have been studied in depth. In 1978 he collaborated with Argonne’s research office to perform theoretical research on CPC and achieved results. Recently, outstanding results have been achieved in infrared testing and flaw detection. Since 1976, he has published dozens of papers and enjoyed a certain reputation in the United States.
