本文报导了用染料Q开关红宝石激光作激励源,对低损耗单模和多模梯度型石英光导纤维进行的背向受激布里渊散射(BSBS)实验研究。实验表明:十多种光纤的背向受激布里渊散射光,相对于入射光的频移在0.775—0.852cm~(-1)范围,脉宽有明显的压缩,压缩比可达1/7。受激散射光的转换效率和可能达到的脉冲压缩量,是光纤长度和输入能量的函数。
In this paper, the back-stimulated Brillouin scattering (BSBS) experiments of low loss single mode and multimode gradient quartz optical fibers were reported using a dye Q-switched ruby laser as an excitation source. Experiments show that: the back-stimulated Brillouin scattered light of more than ten kinds of optical fibers has a significant pulse width compression with a frequency shift of 0.775-0.852 cm -1 relative to incident light with a compression ratio of up to 1 / 7. The conversion efficiency of stimulated scattered light and the amount of pulse compression that can be achieved are a function of fiber length and input energy.
