苹果新富士(青森短枝红富士,S系)从日本引入我国山西长治以来,经过7a(年)的试栽观察,该品种在丰产、品质、果实贮藏性、抗逆性等方面均表现良好。树势强健,以短果枝结果为主,4月中、下旬初花,5月上旬盛花,果实10月中、下旬成熟。花序坐果率可达90%以上。栽后第3年可见花,4年生树平均株产达12.5kg,果枝连续结果能力强。平均单果重380g,最大果重可达450g,可溶性固形物含量达18.2%,果实去皮硬度12.5kg/cm2,可贮藏至翌年4月。通过多年观察,该品种未发生冻害和抽条现象,病虫害发生较少。
