电离辐射作用于机体,可引起细胞分裂障碍和增殖力丧失。尤其是增殖旺盛的细胞更新系统,如造血器官、皮肤、粘膜上皮组织及生殖器官等更易受到损伤。半致死剂量照射后的机体,成为死亡原因的出血、感染等均来源于造血组织损伤。急性放射损伤最大的同题是造血障碍,其晚期效应最重要的问题是诱发粒细胞性白血病。因此,造血损伤的研究在放射病的诊断和治疗方面具有重大意义。
