红壤性低产田低产的原因,主要是酸、瘦、板结,还有施肥过少,水源缺乏,易受干旱等。大部分分布在低山丘陵地区的排田和垅田,面积较大。红壤性低产田虽然产量很低,但一经改造,增产显著,有的甚至可成倍增长。因此,要使粮食高产,必须狠抓低产田的改造。下面谈谈主要改造措施: 1、兴修水利,改善排灌条件 红壤丘陵地区,因水利条件较差,加上下半年少雨,晚稻因水源不足,易受干旱,造成低产。因此,必须因地制宜地修筑山塘水库,开渠引水,想方设法解决水源,保证灌溉;大力植树造林,保持水土,防止水土流失。与此同时,还必须沿山脚开挖排洪沟,防止山洪侵袭,改串灌漫灌为沟排沟灌,充分发挥灌溉效益。
