中国科学院西双版纳热带植物园地处滇南西双版纳州勐腊县勐(?)镇上,坐落在有“亚洲多瑙河”之称的澜沧江——湄公河的(?)条大支流罗梭江环绕的“葫芦岛”上,占地900公顷,栽培、保存(?)近4000种来自国内外的热带珍贵、稀有植物,是我国最大的植物园(?) 版纳植物园于1959年由著名植物学家蔡希陶教授领导下创建的(?)近40年来,由于三代植物科学家的奉献,使昔日的片荒岛成为(?)前集科学研究、植物种质保存和科普教育等为一体的自然科学研究(?)
Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Mengla Town, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, southern Yunnan Province. It is located in Huludao, a major tributary of the Lancang-Mekong River with the “Asian Danube” (?) Nearly 4,000 rare and precious tropical plants from home and abroad are the largest botanical gardens in China (?). The Banana Botanical Garden was founded in 1959 under the leadership of Professor Cai Xitao, a famous botanist. (?) In the past 40 years, thanks to the dedication of three generations of plant scientists, the former piece of island wasteland became a natural science research institute that integrates scientific research, conservation of plant germplasm and popular science education.
