卤素是一种比较理想的消毒剂,国内外曾研制了多种卤素消毒片装备部队用于军用水壶水的消毒。苏军用的海拉宗片,美军用的四甘氨酸过碘化氢片,英、奥军用的二氯异氰尿酸钠片,日本为奥军研制的由高锰酸钾,碘化钾等成份压成的片剂以及我军过去使用的漂白粉消毒片均为卤素制剂。到目前为止尚未见到离开卤素的片剂装备军队。 1969年军事医学科学院军队卫生研究所合成了氯溴三聚异氰尿酸后,开始研究复合卤素消毒。该化合物能在水中同时释放出活性氯和溴,消毒效能受水质的影响比氯小,杀菌效果
